MapsCrawler is a product of Zentio, Lafelterweg 2A, Belgium. Company number 1031.106.436, VAT number BE1031106436. Zentio is the data controller for the personal data processed through this website and tool.

You can reach us through the contact form on this site or via info@zentio.be.

Account data: your email address and an encrypted representation of your password, managed via our authentication provider. We do not store a readable password.

Usage data: the locations and filters you search, the number of scans, scanned cells and AI lookups per day. This data is used to enforce limits and keep the service running.

Business data from map data: name, address, category, coordinates and publicly available contact details of businesses. When a business is a sole proprietorship, this data may include personal data.

Contact data: name, email address and content of messages you send via the contact form.

We process your data to provide the service (performance of the contract), to prevent abuse and excessive use and to manage the cost of map data (legitimate interest), and to respond to your questions (legitimate interest or your consent).

You are responsible for how you further use the exported business data, including compliance with rules on direct marketing and data protection.

Map and business data are retrieved via the Google Maps and Places API. Your search query (location, radius) is sent to Google for that purpose. That processing is subject to Google's privacy policy.

Accounts, database and hosting of application data run through Supabase and our hosting partner. Additional lookups of phone number or website may run through an AI service with web search capability; in that case only the business name and address are shared.

Some of these parties may process data outside the European Economic Area. In that case we rely on standard contractual clauses or another valid transfer mechanism.

We keep account data for as long as your account exists. Cached business data is kept for approximately 30 days and then refreshed or deleted. Usage statistics are kept to a minimum for limit management. We retain contact messages for as long as needed to handle your request.

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and receive a copy of your personal data, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Send us a message via the contact page to exercise these rights.

If you're not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures: encrypted connections, access control at the database level, and separation of data per user. No service can guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy as the service evolves. The date at the top indicates the latest change.
